I think this bridal Shower is perfect for this time of year - late summer...not quite fall. It has bursts of color with bright yellow flowers, combined with more subdued, earthy tones in the dishes, terra cotta pots, and linens. The rustic tables and serving pieces add to the charm and transitional quality of this lovely setting.
Besides being a great seasonal party, this event designed by Evantine, and photographed by Laura Novak, is full of fun and thughtful details. Parasols to shade guests from the sun, cooling cloths to help them cool down from the summer heat, and "wish" cards held in a fantastic mini chest are all things the ladies will remember long after the day is done!

The juxtaposition of the rustic elements with the bright colors really does work well. I adore those frilly lanterns and just may have to try to hack those!
