Bird Crafts Printables

I want to share with you one of our newest sponsors here on the blog, Bird Crafts.  I've gotten to know Bird ever since her amazing Bollywood party hit the scene a few months ago, and even worked with her recently on a Princess party photo shoot that we'll unveil soon.  Bird designs party printables for any occasion and has been featured on HWTM, Amy Atlas, and Martha Stewart Dreamers into Doers.
Below, you'll find just a sampling of her talent.  She creates new and CUSTOM designs continuously and features them on her blog and facebook page.  Please give Bird Crafts a visit and if you don't see something you need, she can design it for you!

Petite Celebrations Pirate Party

This weekend we celebrated my son's 8th birthday with a Petite Celebrations Pirate Party!  The interesting thing is that I've been so busy creating parties for others these past couple of months that I literally had nothing for this party (except the plates & a few miscellaneous items) a week before.  I know...mother of the year here...  Thankfully, my items were ordered, shipped, and arrived in time, AND my friend Amanda of Shindig helped pull me through by sending me her pirate printables and her fabric bunting!  She was truly the party planner's party fairy last week.  You may remember Amanda from her incredible Enchanted Fairy party, but now she also has an Etsy shop with printables for your own parties!
Now, here's the Pirate Party for my own little Skallywag:

The good thing about designing a pirate party in late September is that there are lots of cool things out for Halloween, that I could use.
As for the snack table, I wanted it to have the feel of old crates from the ship that had been pried open.  I was happy with the look but Amanda's printables added a much needed pop of color among the neutral boxes.  What do you know, I turned out to be mother of the year afterall!

The Cutest "UP" Themed Birthday Party

Today's party was sent to me by an amazing photographer, mom, and party designer.  Wendy of  Wendy Updegraff Photography created this wonderfully whimsical birthday for her daughter, based on the movie UP.  I love how she brought all the movie elements into the decor with the house tied with balloons, and the travel related touches.  But don't take my word for it, let her gorgeous photos speak for themselves.

Wendy got the doll house from Hobby Lobby and assembled and painted it to look like the one in the movie (love it!).   She also made little adventure books as favors, and set up a movie screen on the lawn for viewing the movie.
The darling cake was embelished with fondant 'art' by Two Sugar Babies, while the mini banner reading "Adventure Awaits" was done by Earmark.  You can see lots more details including the balloon wreath on Wendy's blog.  What a truly magical party!

Pom Pom POW!

You've heard of pom love before, but this incredible display of hanging poms from Anj of Snowy Bliss, takes the cake!  She used a massive array of colors, patterns, and sizes, along with paper chains to created the coolest overhead decor I've seen in a while.  Love the vintage feel of this party.  You can see more details on Anj's blog.

Lemon Yellow Birthday Picnic

I think I'm going to have to change the name of this blog to "Celebrations In Yellow"!  Seriously, all these cute parties lately have been centered around the color of sunshine!  Here's another gorgeous set up of a birthday picnic from Cake Ink.  So elegant in its simplicity.

"Queen Bee" Birthday

Another gorgeous birthday party in yellow!  Loralee of No Fuss Fabulous created this sweet birthday party for her daughter.  The colors are fresh and bright, with decorative details that carry the theme through in a subtle way.  You may have gathered by now that I really love kids parties with a sophisticated design that transends the ages.  This one does just that and I could definately see these ideas used in a baby shower or bridal shower.
Some of my favorite things from this party:
  • bees attached to hanging lanterns
  • beehive cake placed in HANGING grapevine wreath!
  • ADORABLE flower straws
  • sparkly crown name cards
  • flower and moss details on the dessert table
All these cute touches could be incorporated to so many party themes.  Love That!

A "Horror"-ific Dinner Party

This "Tale of Horror" dinner party from BHG provides great inspiration for when you want to celebrate Halloween in an adult way.  The details are abundant but not over the top which gives this literary-inspired theme its appeal.  I think we can all agree the use of chalk boards is a classic favorite, and using neutral colored pumpkins and stacks of books keeps this very sophisticated.  I would love to host this dinner party!

Halloween Carnival Party

Are you making plans for Halloween celebrations yet?  Here's a great idea from BHG, that's centered around good old fashioned fun for kids.  This carnival-style party provides classic games such as bean bag toss, can toss, and 'guess the number'.  After the fun you can grab some yummy treats to re-energize for the next round of games!  This is a great idea for communities, class parties, or neighborhood gatherings.  Stay tuned for another adult friendly halloween party a little later today.
